Guidance for specification option:

Framing general:

Structural:

• Steel purlins or similar, at maximum 1800 mm centres.

Hangers:

• Siniat MFC2525 metal angles hangers at 610 mm maximum centres fixed to every purlin with suitable fixings by others.

Primary channels:

• Siniat UT52/Y heavy gauge primary channels at 610 mm maximum centres fixed to Siniat MFC2525 metal angles using 12 mm Siniat wafer head self drilling screws. 

Ceiling channels:

• Siniat MFC50 ceiling channels at 610 mm maximum centres fixed to Siniat UT52/Y heavy gauge primary channels using 12 mm Siniat wafer head self drilling screws. 

Perimeter channels:

• Siniat MFCE26 edge channels fixed with suitable fixings by others at 500 mm maximum centres.

General framing note:

• Final hanger and primary channel to be located as close as practically possible to bulkhead. 

Framing bulkhead:

Bulkhead head channel:

• Siniat UT52/Y heavy gauge primary channel spanning between purlins and fixed to purlins using offcuts of Siniat MFC2525 metal angle.

Bulkhead vertical channel:

• Siniat MFC050 ceiling channel at maximum 300 mm vertical centres, fixed into head and base bulkhead channels using 12 mm Siniat wafer head self drilling screws.

Bulkhead base channel:

• Vertical Siniat MFCE26 edge channel fixed to final horizontal Siniat MFCE26 edge channel with 12 mm Siniat wafer head self drilling screws at maximum 300 mm centres to form bulkhead corner.

Guidance for specification option:

Ceiling linings fixing note:

• Screws positioned a minimum 10–12 mm from board edges and 30 mm from board corners.
• Outer layer transverse board joints to be stitched to inner layer board using 30 mm 16 gauge brad nails at maximum 150 mm centres.

Guidance for specification option:

• All boards abutting surrounding structure should be sealed using FSi Promat Pyrocoustic® Fire Resistant Sealant.
• All penetrations should use supporting constructions detailed in Promat literature unless superseded by specific test information. For combined, warrantied performance specify FSi fire-stopping products.
