Description

Promatect®-250 is a non-combustible mineral bound light weight board, provides a high degree of strength and dimensional stability and offers a quickly installed solution for the fire protection of Mezzanine Floors and is suitable for internal areas. It is classified A1 non-combustible according to BS EN 13501-1.

PROMATECT®-250 has smooth, unsanded surfaces and is off-white in appearance, it can be left undecorated or easily finished with paint.

Up to 120 minutes fire resistance can be achieved depending on the thickness and number of layers of material used.

Certification: As detailed WF No. 360237 and for structural steel, Certificate No. UL-EU-01220-CPR.

The supporting steel framework of the mezzanine floor, including the columns, should be protected for a period equal to or greater than that required for the mezzanine floor. Typically, 15 mm thick Promat PROMATECT®-250 boards, will provide 120 minutes fire resistance, based on a limiting steel temperature of 550°C and a maximum steel section factor up to 140 m^-1 (Up to 350 m^-1 for 90 minutes).
