Protek 868 Elite - Security Fence System

Protek 868 Elite is an improved version of the 868 twin-wire system that is approved to SR1 security standard by the LPBC (Loss Prevention Certification Board). SR1 security fencing can withstand opportunistic attempts at forced entry using basic tools such as cable cutters, screwdrivers, knives and hammers, for a period of time. This, combined with Protek 868's twin-wire mesh, creates a security fence that is very hard to climb, cut through or force entry.

Features and benefits:

• Mesh size 200 x 50 mm with 1 x 6 mm vertical and 2 x 8 mm horizontal wire.
• Panels can be inverted to create flat top option.
• Manufactured to BS 4102 and galvanized to BS EN 10244-2:2001 class D.
• Weld strength is 75% of the minimum tensile strength of the wire (tensile range 540-690 N/m²).
• Posts are dig-in with size varying with height.
• Post material manufactured to BS EN 10210-2:1997 and galvanized to BS EN 10346:2009.
• Posts supplied with plastic caps with size varying with height.
• Clamp bar fixings: 40 x 5 mm (full length of mesh panel).
• Fixings include M8 washer and M8 x 40 mm Button Head A2 Stainless Steel Shear Bolt.
• Rubber backstops available for all fixings for anti-vibration.
• Panels and posts are galvanized before being powder coated to BS EN 13438:2005 (min 100 micron).
• Standard colour is RAL 6005 (Moss Green) with other RAL colours available as special order including marine grade coating.
• Post options include cranked posts (internal and external / top and bottom), face fix (for flush against walls), and base-plated (flush to front, back or centrally) available as special order for installation onto concrete and other hard surfaces.
