OVERVIEW
Ernst & Young (‘EY’), a global leader in consulting and professional services, needed a new hub for their London-based team that was not only functional and inviting, but reflective of the company’s innovative approach to work. To bring this vision to life, EY partnered with M Moser Associates to create a workspace that would cater to the diverse needs of their hybrid workforce.
The 54,681-square-foot office was crafted with a thoughtful mix of designated collaboration areas, focus booths, and traditional workstations. This variety enables employees to seamlessly transition between formal meetings, collaborative group work, and individual tasks for maximised flexibility. Inspired by hospitality design, the office was envisioned as a versatile environment that caters to the different work styles of EY’s traveling partners and on-site teams.
To achieve the desired acoustic quality within the space, M Moser Associates collaborated with Acoufelt to select wall panels that not only met their acoustic requirements, but also aligned with the overall aesthetic vision. Opting for Fracture wall panels, renowned for their bevelled design, these panels were custom-cut into bespoke patterns, adding a dynamic dimension to each space.
For each installation, M Moser Associates carefully curated tonal colorways, choosing a natural green palette featuring ‘Oregano,’ ‘Kale,’ and ‘Pistachio,’ alongside a grounded neutral palette of ‘Walnut,’ ‘Umber,’ and ‘Peach.’ Strategically positioned in key collaboration rooms, these panels serve as striking visual while effectively mitigating noise, boasting a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.45.
In line with EY’s commitment to sustainability, Fracture wall panels are crafted from Acoufelt’s signature FilaSorb™ acoustic felt. This premium material is made from over 60% recycled PET, and is manufactured using 40% renewable solar energy. Additionally, it holds key sustainability certifications, including Declare® and Indoor Advantage Gold, underscoring the project’s dedication to environmentally responsible design.
The result is a workspace that not only meets the functional needs of a hybrid workforce but also embodies EY’s commitment to sustainability and employee well-being. Its versatility empowers EY’s diverse team to maintain high productivity while working in an environment designed for both efficiency and comfort.
