Pushing creative boundaries with bespoke Acoufelt designs at Adobe London Head office.

OVERVIEW

Adobe is a renowned leader in creative technology software, transforming the world through personalized digital experiences. A brand synonymous with innovation and cutting-edge design, Adobe’s brief for the refurbishment of their headquarters in London’s White Collar Factory building was to balance playfulness with functionality and sustainability. In collaboration with the international architecture and design firm Gensler, Adobe pushed creative boundaries to bring their imaginative vision to life.

For this project, Gensler chose Acoufelt’s acoustic wall products, specifically the Fracture Two-Tone wall panels, to serve as both functional and aesthetic elements throughout the office. These panels, featuring a bespoke arch pattern, were strategically installed in the quiet focus rooms and behind the AV setup in the open auditorium, contributing to a seamless design flow. To add a playful touch, Gensler selected vibrant color combinations of ‘Pearl’ and ‘Peach,’ as well as ‘Iris’ and ‘Midnight.’ The dynamic curves of the arches were further enhanced by soft furnishings and warm lighting, creating inviting and comfortable workspaces.

Gensler also selected QuietPrint acoustic wall panels featuring custom artwork designed by Adobe. The artwork showcases a distinctive dual-tone gradient print in purple and pink hues. These panels were positioned in semi-enclosed meeting booths and the open auditorium, playfully complementing the Fracture Two-Tone panels in coordinating tones. With an impressive Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of up to 0.55, the placement of these acoustic panels also helps mitigate sound travel between spaces, ensuring a quiet and focused work environment.

Sustainability was a key focus in Adobe’s redesign. With ‘sustainability at scale’ as one of Adobe’s core values, Acoufelt supported this vision by providing acoustic felt products made from over 60% recycled PET and produced using 40% renewable solar energy.

Gensler’s innovative reimagination of Adobe’s London Headquarters elevates the traditional office environment, transporting employees and visitors into a colorful, inspiring world where creativity and comfort go hand in hand. By carefully considering both functionality and sustainability in every detail of the design, this office is poised to nurture innovation and creativity for years to come.
