Making a lasting first impression with a bespoke acoustic ceiling system at Simon Kucher’s London HQ

Simon Kucher is a leading global consultancy specializing in strategy, marketing, pricing, and sales. Founded in 1985, the firm has earned a reputation for its innovative approach to driving sustainable growth across various industries, including technology, healthcare, financial services, and consumer goods.

At the core of Simon Kucher’s philosophy are their key values of collaboration, integrity, and innovation. Staying true to this ethos, Simon Kucher envisioned a London headquarters that reflects these key values, supporting the sustainable growth of the business. Located in Farringdon, the 20,000 sq ft space was reimagined by lead design and fit-out company Maris. Maris played with lines, textures and intentional use of brand colours to divide the space into meaningful areas such as collaboration hubs, social spaces and focus zones allowing team members to flow between areas depending on task.

In the reception area, Maris collaborated with Acoufelt to design a striking ceiling feature aimed at leaving a lasting impression on clients. Beginning with an initial hand-drawn sketch, Acoufelt brought the design to life using the Flow Ceiling Baffle design, which was expertly scored to create fluid, undulating curves. Finished in a subtle ‘Grey’ tone, the baffle complements the cool cement-look floors and warm textured brick, resulting in a harmonious, visually captivating aesthetic. Beyond its visual appeal, the baffle plays a vital role in enhancing acoustics by reducing noise reverberation, creating a more welcoming and comfortable environment for clients.

By choosing Acoufelt’s FilaSorb™ material, Maris not only prioritized aesthetics but also made a sustainable decision. FilaSorb™ is crafted from 60% recycled materials and is fully recyclable at the end of its lifecycle. Additionally, the product is Declare Red List free and third-party verified, ensuring it meets Simon Kucher’s high environmental standards.
